Since childhood having seen his father treat blind patients, Dr. Sourabh choose specialization in Ophthalmology because of his passion for eyesight and dedication to this area. He did MS in Ophthalmology at MIMER medical college, Talegaon (D), Pune in one of the oldest eye hospitals from the region. He has been serving at D S Karad Eye Institute, Latur as a junior consultant from 2015 and is also joined as asst. professor at Department of Ophthalmology, YC Rural Hospital, Latur. He has done more than 2900 Small Incision Cataract Surgeries (SICS) and many Glaucoma cases solely; as well as have helped senior consultants in number of complex cataract operations. He is also even involved with cases that examines corneal innervation following penetrating Keratoplasty and cellular characteristics of early-onset Fuchs’ endothelial dystrophy. He has participated in various subspecialty clinics as well as national eye conferences. He has flexible, patient, and open-minded personality, strong work ethic, passion for ophthalmology, and compassion towards patients. He has plans to expand his work in entire region – that is, the delivery of eye health to under-developed and remote regions including extended parts, at affordable cost with advanced technology and top – notch quality services to patients.

• 2010 Passed MBBS from MIMSR Medical College, Latur, Maharashtra, India affiliated to MUHS, Nashik
• 2015 Passed MS in Ophthalmology from MIMER Medical College, Talegon (D), Pune, Maharashtra, India affiliated to MUHS, Nashik
